WORKING FROM HOME
So many BCBAs work from the comfort of their own homes, at least for part of the day. Without an office, things can get a little complicated! This page is dedicated to easing the stress that can come along with working from home.
ORGANIZATION
THESE ARE A FEW OF OUR FAVORITE ... PLANNERS
New Year - New Planner!! Maybe you've graduated to calendars and planner tools on your phone, but here at Coffee + Cooper, we prefer the pen + paper method. Finding the perfect planner can be a headache (and don't even talk to me about how it feels when they discontinue your favorite one!). Below are the Top 3 planners for Behavior Analysts.
WORKING FROM HOME CAN BE BOTH WONDERFUL AND IMPOSSIBLE. WHILE IT'S NICE TO RELAX AND COMPLETE A TREATMENT PLAN FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR COUCH, THERE ARE SO MANY DISTRACTIONS (THE FRIDGE) AND OPPORTUNITIES TO PROCRASTINATE WHEN YOU'RE WORKING FROM HOME. IN ORDER TO MINIMIZE THESE DISTRACTIONS, COFFEE + COOPER HAS SOME RECOMMENDATIONS ON CREATING A PRODUCTIVE SPACE IN YOUR HOME.
Setting up a Home Offce
STEP ONE
DESIGNATE A WORK SPACE
Working from your dining room table isn't going to cut it. You need a place where you can leave your data sheets, display your calendar, and focus on behavior analysis. This shouldn't be your bed, your couch, or your kitchen counter. Think in terms of stimulus discrimination! You want a place that will signal "time to work".

STEP TWO
DECLUTTER AND ORGANIZE
Your work space should inspire you to work, not inspire you to walk away because it's disorganized and cluttered. Create a filing system to ensure your space stays organized and clean your space at least twice per week.
STEP THREE
DECORATE
Decorating your home office will encourage you to keep it clean and organized. There are so many great finds on Etsy to help you make your home office unique!
