Keep In Touch!!
When we pass the exam, and we finally get those four magical letters to follow our name, B-C-B-A (!!!), we know everything there is to know about ABA!
Okay, maybe it's not that easy...

We continue to require supervision and guidance, not only immediately upon receiving our credentials, but as we move throughout our careers as well.
While working toward my BCBA, I was blessed with incredible supervisors, who instilled in me a desire to learn and grow as a behavior analyst.
I've since worked in many different settings, across populations, with fantastic colleagues and supervisors. I am grateful for the opportunity to have learned from dozens of BCBAs, each with unique backgrounds and styles.
Our field requires us to keep up to date with the latest research in applied behavior analysis, and I've made it my own best practice to keep in touch with many of the talented people that made an impact on my career. Whether I have a question relating to intervention methods, resources, ethics, professionalism, or just general advice, I feel fortunate to have a group of mentors from my past that extends to my present (And I hope I've been of help to them too)!
So, whether you're stuck on a seemingly unsolvable problem - or even when you think you've got it all figured out - be sure to reach out to your former classmates and coworkers. They might just have the answer you need, or the inspiration to reach even higher!
